POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direct support to the District Attorney inside and outside of the office

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains and coordinates calendar of the District Attorney. Organizes and schedules appointments and meetings and makes necessary arrangements for travel, lodging or other logistical requirements.

Prepares correspondence, memos and agendas as directed by the District Attorney and reviews and follows through on select correspondence as required.

Maintains documents, correspondence and other written material.

Receives telephone calls, answers questions and screens visitors.

Receives and reviews incoming office mail, correspondence and documents, and disseminates for appropriate action.

Travels the Senior Leadership to meetings and other events and provides staffing support, including public outreach, photography and video recording.

Ability to work effectively with the public, media, crime victims, government officials, and other stakeholders in the justice system

Must be organized and work without direction and supervision.

Regularly attend meetings and events on nights and weekends.

Proficient in oral and written communications.

Must be extremely discreet and work independently.

Performs similar or related duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Active driver's license and mobile phone.

Three years relevant experience.

Knowledge of business English and spelling.

Proficient in social media skills and able to use or learn software used by the District Attorney's Office.

Communications experience is strongly preferred.
