Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of corporate tax processes. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

Manage corporate tax filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Prepare and process sales tax documentation in compliance with local and state regulations.

Create and review journal entries to maintain precise financial records.

Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

Utilize QuickBooks Online to monitor and update financial data effectively.

Assist with preparing corporate tax returns and addressing related inquiries.

Conduct reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial information.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Provide training and support on QuickBooks Online to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits and reviews. Requirements - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.

Solid knowledge of corporate tax regulations and filing processes.

Experience in managing sales tax and preparing corporate tax returns.

Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
