Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead and oversee financial operations within our organization. Based in Miramar, Florida, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in supporting and developing people, managing budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting. The position requires a strategic thinker capable of driving financial excellence and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the organization's annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Oversee month-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Implement and refine budget processes to improve financial efficiency and transparency.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present findings to executive leadership.

Monitor and manage cash flow operations to maintain organizational liquidity.

Lead forecasting activities, including financial projections and scenario analysis.

Utilize financial modeling techniques to support strategic decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial strategies and processes.

Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience in developing and managing annual budgets.

Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and financial forecasting methodologies.

Proficiency in cash flow management and financial modeling.

Familiarity with Aderant software or similar accounting systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
