Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit, is seeking a hands-on Contract HR Generalist to drive recruitment and elevate HR operations for the next 3-5 months. If you thrive on rolling up your sleeves, enjoy variety, and want to make an immediate impact, this opportunity is for you. This position is based on the North side of the city, and starting as early as next week!

What You'll Do:

Manage the full cycle of recruitment from start to finish-making talent acquisition your primary playground

Dive into onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless experience for every new hire or exit

Leverage your advanced Excel and reporting skills to provide data-driven insights that help steer the business forward

Utilize your knowledge of UKG, maximizing the use of a vintage system with your modern know-how

Collaborate with a small, tight-knit HR team to identify gaps and create meaningful process improvements

Navigate FMLA and generalist HR needs with confidence-while compliance and payroll are handled by specialized teammates

Support performance management and employee relations, with a leadership team that values your input

Requirements

Exceptional, hands-on recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment

Strong reporting background, especially using Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups are a must!)

Experience using UKG is highly preferred

Nonprofit HR experience is a big plus

Solid understanding of onboarding, offboarding, and FMLA

Someone who is adaptable, resourceful, and ready to jump in with limited resources
