Summary The Supervisory Environmental Care Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operations of Sanitation, Linen Distribution, Supply Distribution, Customer Service, Bed Management Solution (BMS), Pest Control, Service Oriented Architecture Research and Development (SOARD) Maximo, Veterans Affairs Time and Attendance System and Waste Management operations in Environmental Management Service (EMS) within established policies and procedures at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). Responsibilities Duties : Performs technical, administrative, and professional work involving supervising, administering, operating or supporting services and programs related to the operations and safety at CAVHS. Responsible for managing, ordering, stocking, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to provide environmental services throughout CAVHS. Provides advisory service regarding the requirements and resolution of substantive Housekeeping problems and services provided and coordinates day to day activities of Environmental care section. Furnishes ideas and opinions to Assistant EMS Chief on any subject which may have a direct and indirect bearing on EMS service. Meets with front line supervisors daily to discuss all controversial findings, problems and concerns as well as positive accomplishments, superior performance and upcoming significant events within areas of responsibility and takes actions as needed to correct all findings. Plans and estimates the time, materials, equipment and personnel required to facilitate uninterrupted services provided by EMS throughout CAVHS.
