Overview:
HD Microsystems (HDM - 50/50 joint venture between Qnity Electronics and Resonac) is hiring a Supply Chain focused Area Manager to lead an organization comprised of 23 people. This organzation includes supply chain, customer service, procurement, SAP IT, and onsite warehouse employees in Parlin, NJ. The successful candidate will report to the HDM Global Integrated Operations (IO) Leader and be a member of the HDM IO Leadership Team.
The role provides leadership to define, implement, and optimize supply chain strategies and objectives in support of the business. This includes global supply chain alignment and regular interactions with Parlin's sister site in Hitachi, Japan.
This role will also provide leadership guidance for SAP improvement strategies and lead the HDM North American Customer Service team to define, implement, and optimize strategies.
The role evaluates and improves the competitiveness of the business supply chain with respect to service, cost, and investment. This role also leads improvement activities in all aspects of the supply chain, warehouse, and logistics to simplify where possible and represents the optimized supply chain plan in the integrated business planning (IBP) process.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to ensure customer needs are adequately met by the business supply chain and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develops, integrates, and executes the supply chain strategy and plan in support of the business
Creates functional strategies/execution plans to meet customer needs through integrated processes/systems and use of technology for Supply Chain, Customer Service, warehouse/Logistics, SAP, and Procurement
Acts as key decision maker for global supply chain and ensures routine interaction with Hitachi, Japan supply chain team
Establishes the supply chain performance targets and evaluates actual performance in support of business and functional strategies.
Understand the overall SAP needs of HDM and works with the SAP specialist and contractors to ensure strategy/execution plans are in place and reviewed with leadership
Represents the risks associated with the supply chain, current plans, and options/contingencies to mitigate them.
Understands and makes decisions based on knowledge of upper quartile performance and the impact to their supply chain.
Represents the supply chain capabilities for the short (0 - 3 months), mid (3 - 24 months) and long-term (5 year plan) horizons.
Identifies the appropriate models necessary for supply chain optimization and recommends actions to the Business team.

Forecasts, analyzes and develops improvement plans for Fixed and Variable Finished Product Distribution Expense (FPDE) and Financial Inventory Days Supply (IDS).
Leads the credit management process for HDM in North America

Utilize procurement and logistics organizations to provide forecasts and key cost optimization opportunities
Communication
Interfaces with the Key Leaders to develop the optimized supply chain, customer service, procurement, and SAP plans.
Holds routine communication meeting with Hitachi supply chain team to effectively make decisions
Leads integration and cross functional communication of the supply chain plans. Key interfaces include: Business Leadership, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing/Demand, etc
Technology, Systems & Improvement
Drive process simplification and standardization
Define, prioritize and manage Lean/Six Sigma project activities in pursuit of supply chain improvement.
Builds and ensures capability/leveragability in supply chain processes, best practices, their execution across all businesses and global functions.
Owns the integrity of data in applicable systems.
Owns the SC Map (Value Stream Map & analysis)
Product Supply
Manage finished goods distribution and inventory plans.
Define and communicate order acceptance and handling policies with the Demand Manager that balance customer requirements with supply chain capabilities
Integral leader in the IBP process. Leads appropriate portions of the monthly Supply Reviews.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for safety stock, lead time, MTO / MTS strategies, schedule changes, and appropriate approvals.
Meet customer delivery requirements within policies / procedures and compliance with regulatory and export control.
Role Requirements
2+ Years technical people leadership experience
5+ Years supply chain or related experience in integrated operations with direct interaction of supply chain functions
SAP competency
ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification (may obtain on the job within 18 months)
BS in Supply Chain or technical field (Ex. Engineering)
Global experience preferred
Six Sigma and Lean certification preferred.

The Pay range for this role is $124,810.00 - $196,130.00 Annual
