Position Summary:

This role is responsible to perform the primary responsibility of efficient and accurate checking of all vendor deliveries and to perform other functions as required in an efficient manner within the company policies, to ensure that the shift contributes to the best financial interest of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.

Here's what you'll do:

Ensure that all procedures are followed when checking in or out vendors.

Receive all merchandise, check and verify invoices, process all credits, accurately log according to company procedures.

Communicate promptly to the Store Director any problems or situations which may affect the integrity of the store or of the vendor.

Ensure stock/product is taken to applicable storage and/or workload areas.

Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.

Knowledge of product locations in the store, in order to be able to assist customers.

Maintain receiving records and logs for internal audits.

Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.

Follow all policies and procedures relating to security of receiving door.

Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.

Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.

Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.

May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's what you'll need:

High school graduate or equivalent (GED)

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents

Basic mathematical skills

Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products

Detail Oriented

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
