Minimum qualifications:
JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience advising clients in structuring commercial transactions, including agreements providing for network capacity and IP ownership frameworks.
Experience in drafting and negotiating services agreements, sales agreements, licenses, custom development and intellectual property agreements.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a changing environment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts to various audiences.

This role will support the Cloud Global Strategic Initiatives (GSI) team. You'll work closely with the GSI team to structure agreements establishing multi-year partnership and industry transformation goals with strategic customers. You will lead coordination and execution with other Cloud legal team members, regional legal teams, and legal colleagues from other Product Areas (PAs) and Bets. You'll brief the Cloud and Legal executive teams. Finally, you will establish, institutionalize, and scale legal processes and templates for winning customers.20th century laws don't always solve 21st century problems, and Google Legal crafts innovative approaches for working with some of the toughest legal challenges of the information age. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $239,000-$337,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with sophisticated enterprise customers, including agreements providing for network capacity.
Review, draft, and negotiate licenses, custom development, intellectual property agreements and cloud platform services agreements.
Coordinate with legal colleagues, business leads and execs from other Google product areas in structuring and negotiating cross-Product Area (PA) partnerships.
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes for customer agreements.
Provide legal advice to teams such as Global Strategic Initiative Leads, Cloud Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Communications summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that is meaningful for business teams. Advise business clients, as well as finance and other stakeholders, on the legal issues and risks, approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP and business strategy.
