Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Analyst with the Video Services team, you will work closely with a variety of operational and sales groups throughout the organization as you analyze potential strategic initiatives and go-to-market solutions for both DISH and Sling TV. You will serve as the single source of truth for all performance metrics coming from owned communications and in-app content strategy.
In this role, you will be expected to adequately attribute success to various initiatives across the customer lifecycle, including subscriber growth, engagement, and retention. You will go beyond the numbers to understand the drivers of the business-balancing the retention-focused needs of satellite television with the growth-centric analytics of the streaming market. Your work will help provide the guidance needed to grow the subscriber base profitability and fulfill the DISH mission: To change the way the world communicates.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and manage the "Single Source of Truth" for performance metrics related to owned communication channels and in-app content engagement strategies
Develop and maintain sophisticated attribution models to measure the impact of content and communication on subscriber growth and churn mitigation
Maintain financial models for reporting on subscriber profitability for both DISH (traditional linear) and Sling (vMVPD), from a historical NPV perspective
Perform ad-hoc analysis for operations and finance leadership to evaluate the ROI of specific content initiatives and promotional campaigns
Design and manage multiple models to evaluate potential business opportunities, including new packaging or bundling strategies
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Marketing, Product, and Data Science teams to accurately reflect the business in published analyses and recommendations
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field
MBA or MS-Finance is a plus, but not required
3-5 years of progressive experience within Marketing Analytics or Subscription-based finance
Experience in the Media/Entertainment or OTT Streaming industry is highly preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
Build and apply attribution models that link subscriber behavior (sign-ups, upgrades, retention) to specific digital and in-app touchpoints
Leverage advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Slides, with working knowledge of financial reporting systems (Oracle, Hyperion, OneStream) to support data-driven decision-making
Translate complex datasets and financial concepts into clear, executive-ready presentations and easy-to-follow reporting materials
Apply strong analytical rigor and intellectual curiosity to organize, synthesize, and draw actionable insights from large, complex datasets
Demonstrate results-driven execution, balancing detailed analysis with strategic, big-picture thinking in fast-paced environments
Collaborate cross-functionally to build strong partnerships, manage priorities, meet tight deadlines, and drive measurable business and growth marketing outcomes

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
