District Recruitment for Rapides Parish:
This position is located in District 08/0ffice of Operations/Unit 750 Rapides/ Alexandria, LA of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the T.O.M. The overall function of this position is to serve as a Maintenance Clerk in a District wide maintenance office in District 08. The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties independently with little or no supervision on a regular basis. The incumbent is also expected to exercise a high degree of independent judgement and initiative in determining the approach/action to take in non-routine situations that may arise. This position must possess extensive knowledge of DOTD work activity codes and the roadway system in order to accurately process, report, and document all activities accomplished. Participates in DOTD structured training programs as appropriate and attends all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks. While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Service laws, rules, and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and
directives.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Ability to maintain confidential files on employees, including personnel, training, small tools, and productivity used for Annual Plannings and Performance Evaluation System.
Must be proficiently skilled with working knowledge of SAP- (Plant Maintenance, PTMW, MIGO, FV60, IFCU, IW21- Notification and IW31- Work Order), eProcurement, Agile Assets (LaGOV), and Microsoft Office software.
Prepares, enters, and edits Daily Work Reports for Highway Foreman and other maintenance gang staff, which includes information on materials and equipment used, as well as, man hours spent in the Agile Assets, Plant Maintenance, and PTMW systems.
Prepares and submits payroll audit package for review and audit by the District Business Office.
Reviews and enters all personal injury reports and incident reports for DOTD Personnel to Sedgwick and forward all new claims to appropriate Workman's Comp. personnel at Headquarters.
May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 6:30AM to 5:00PM.
