The Manager IST position is responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of its people and other resources within a business unit.

Duties of this position include:
Leads employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
Oversees and manages the evaluation, implementation, analysis, and coordination of IT systems employed by Matheny.
Provides communication of any system changes through an effective change management process as well as, overall system upgrades or enhancements, to ensure an effective flow of information throughout the hospital.
Identifies opportunities for operating efficiency, cost containment and reduction, outcomes, improved communications, patient care, patient safety and fiscal management that are supported through automated systems.
Oversees the successful delivery of projects through all of the defined phases of the project life cycle to include new clinical and administrative applications, system upgrades, and application rollouts.
Partners with senior leadership to ensure that all technology-related policies and guidelines are current and aligned to Matheny standards.
Executes and maintains relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the performance and attendance of their employees.
Serves as primary point of contact for team members on all issues; responsible for escalating issues as necessary.
Schedules and chairs weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes and communication. Integrates department services into the organization's strategic mission by setting goals that align with the mission and monitors progress towards goals.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking practices and participating in professional societies.
Maintains transparent communication; appropriately communicates organizational information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.
Ensures efficient and effective results by communicating job expectations to staff: planning, monitoring and completion of performance appraisals and follow through on development action plan; coaching, counseling, and handling performance management of employees.
Approves time off requests while ensuring business continuity; plans for unexpected staffing shortages, turnover and realignments.
Understands and adheres to Matheny's compliance standards as they appear in Matheny's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Matheny's regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $139,000 - $153,000 annually.

Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering plus five (5) years of progressive experience with clinical information applications in healthcare or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with no less than three (3) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience. Three (3) years supervisory managerial experience including maintaining policies and database analysis. Two (2) years of project team leadership and special emphasis on task management, user relations, written and oral communications. Strong understanding of HIPAA concepts and requirements as they relate to medical systems is required. Demonstrated knowledge of hospital and health systems operations is a plus. Experience in team leadership and direct supervision is required
