Summary Incumbent provides direct application of management and administrative theory across various disciplines within the Pharmacy Service. The incumbent demonstrates performance of assignments with a high level of analytical skill and knowledge and achieves technical proficiency in qualitative analysis requirements. Responsibilities Major duties: Conducts analysis of corrective action plans, data and reports to the facility database, regional and national SharePoint sites. Develops materials to convey data and best practice models to target audiences. Performs collection compilation, analysis and or tracking of data and statistical information to develop solutions improve the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of organizational and program operations. Assists with the accumulation, preparation, validating, and interpreting data for various reports, as well as the statistical data required for accreditation, and other documents required. Utilizes methods of automating administrative reports and multiple uses of the data and creates detailed charts and graphs and charts, retrieving data or statistics for research, and transmitting these documents, text, and data to the responsible parties. Manages action item procedures that include the timely and appropriate delegation, dissemination, due date assignment, tracking, collection, routing, and final transmission of actions. Analyzes data to assist Pharmacy Service in the preparation of briefing materials, graphs, reports, and correspondence. Advises senior leaders, service chiefs and program managers on the methods and procedures for collecting and analyzing data from management reports using the appropriate data source and information management tools. Responds to information requests from facility staff, in a timely matter, with respect to confidentiality. Displays customer relations skills through effective communication (written and verbal) with internal and external customers. Communicates factual and procedural information, orally and in writing, to the appropriate senior manager, board, committee, or service by preparing briefing materials, graphs, reports, and correspondence. Serves as an internal consultant to provide information support to all levels of the health care system with accurate and detailed information regarding the data definitions. Serves as the back up to Pharmacy AO in planning and execution of Services operations - to include budget planning, staffing requirements, equipment purchases and maintenance services and projects for specialized medicinal acquisitions. Work Environment: Work is typically performed in office, conference room, and clinical/hospital patient care settings. Typically, the work is hazard-free, not requiring any special equipment of clothing. Physical Demands: Trips to satellite outpatient clinics and pharmacies are sometimes necessary and will provide transportation via station vehicle or privately-owned vehicle. The work performed is of a precise nature long periods of concentration that is often interrupted.
