What You'll Do:
As an Electrical Engineer , you'll be part of our Outdoor Product Group , located in Valley City, OH. We are seeking an electrical engineer to join our Wheel Products Team to support the outdoor power equipment and accessories
You'll get to:
Be responsible for electric powered product and electrical system design and development for both gas and lithium battery powered outdoor power equipment.
Designing wiring harnesses, creating systems diagrams and specifications, co-authoring and implementing a test plan for electrical/electro-mechanical components or the electrical system.
Co-author electrical specifications for various components and be responsible for the timely release of these component drawings. Interpret and record testing results, evaluate data, and prepare written test reports.
Work with our Compliance and EMC departments to perform inspections and physical testing outlined in applicable standards (i.e., ANSI, CPSC, SAE, EN, ISO, UL, MTD internal standards) for worldwide safety and EMC compliance.
Set up and perform tests on materials, components, assemblies, and whole goods products to measure performance, durability and material characteristics.
Support Engineering and Design by proposing potential solutions to design related issues.
Work closely with our team of Lab Technicians and Electrical Engineers to learn in's and out's of our products, the best ways to set up and run testing, and how to troubleshoot.
Who You Are

You also have:
Possess a BS in Electrical Engineering. Have 0-5 years of electrical consumer product design experience.
Be a strong designer, project manager, team player, and will take initiative to research new technologies in order to solve challenges.
Be a hands-on individual with strong electrical & mechanical skills.
Have a working knowledge of measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate electronics and circuits.
Be proficient with engineering design tools such as: Unigraphics, Team Center, Arcadia
Possess thorough and consistent documentation habits paired with excellent organizational skills.
