ABOUT THE POSITION
The Vice President of Administration stewards the financial, technical, auxiliary, and physical resources of the college in alignment with its mission, vision, and strategic objectives. The position is responsible for the administration, oversight, and continuous improvement of Fiscal Services, Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Auxiliary Services. The position serves as the chief financial officer (CFO) for the college and provides leadership for the development of the college budget, strategic fiscal planning, and implementation of overall fiscal policy and procedures.
This is a senior leadership, cabinet-level position at the college and reports directly to the President. The Vice President of Administration collaborates with other college leaders on a diverse range of college-wide plans, projects, and initiatives; serves on a variety of committees and work groups; and may serve as the president's designated representative of the college in community and public settings.
This position will directly contribute to the achievement of the college's strategic goals through individual, divisional, and college-wide efforts. The ideal candidate in this role is a visionary, inspiring, and transformational leader committed to the principles of equity and inclusion and has a proven track record of creative problem-solving and change management in a mission-driven organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (expected to have to enter job)
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, organizational administration, information technology, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial leadership in a complex, medium to large organization, preferably within higher education.
Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and engaging diverse teams within an inclusive work environment.
Direct leadership experience in one or more key administrative areas: fiscal services, technology services, auxiliary enterprises, public safety, or facilities management.
Proven ability to analyze, communicate, and plan around complex financial matters and support institutional financial sustainability.
Experience managing information technology resources, overseeing capital projects, budgeting, and ensuring effective policy implementation and internal controls
Demonstrated commitment to collaborative planning, shared governance, and the mission and values of a community college.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS (desired but not expected to have to enter job)
Master's degree or higher in a relevant field and applicable professional certifications.
Executive level leadership experience (5+ years) in a multi-contract collective bargaining environment with a strong understanding of shared governance.
Proven success managing people, projects, and operations within a public college or university, preferably within a statewide system.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, equitable solutions to complex management and operational challenges.
Experience with process improvement, project management, enterprise risk management (ERM), and oversight of major capital renovation or construction projects.
Strong strategic planning skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across divisions while applying knowledge of state and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
