Information Technology Application Administrator

The IT Application Administrator is a hands-on role supporting various business software at Jacksons. This role will collaborate heavily with key business stakeholders and process owners. This position requires previous experience working with, configuring, and supporting enterprise class packaged software applications. You install, update, tune, diagnose, and babysit both internal and third-party applications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Act as a key member of the Enterprise Applications team collaborating with and supporting other team members daily.

Configure and execute business application testing and install rollouts and upgrades.

Understand the business applications considered core organization-wide applications.

Analyze business systems to identify inefficiencies and problems and recommend solutions.

Collaborate with business users and software vendors to troubleshoot configuration, installation, and implementation issues.

Demonstrate software and discuss options with business users within the organization.

Communicate problems and resolutions to systems support personnel to improve ongoing service delivery and support.

Work with IT staff on configurations, system level problem resolution and monitoring of applications.

Train staff and clients on use of new business systems or changes to operational level processes and procedures.

Understand the business and articulate their needs into technical specifications and solutions.

Coordinate with teammates to support applications, projects and deliverables and drive them to a successful outcome.

Prepare and maintain documentation of application systems, configuration, and procedures.

Work with team leadership on overall strategy for the application systems design, implementation & support

Work with 3rd party vendors to report and manage issues, add to development roadmap, and upgrade to new technology solutions.

Respond to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate issues.

Stay current on trends in software, application management and PDI Systems.

Additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

3+ years' experience working with enterprise software in the areas of major implementations, integration, and upgrades of software. PDI Technology a plus

Acquired skills in using project management techniques and tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational and detail orientation skills.

The ability to multi-task and prioritize in a challenging, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

A history of handling stress associated with the required immediate resolution of issues.

The ability to work at times outside business hours and on-call support for application upgrades, outages, and implementations.

Experience with Accounting systems are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This position is an office position and is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions. The employee is regularly required to sit, @type, use a mouse, phone, or similar office equipment. Occasionally required to lift objects of 20 lbs. or less.
