Department Overview
Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Major Infrastructure Delivery is largely a field-based organization made up of over 11,000 coworkers and contractors that ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to approximately 16 million people throughout a 70,000 square-mile service area in northern and central California. The organization is accountable for the company's program to underground 10,000 miles of electric distribution lines to reduce wildfire risk, the System Inspection Program to identify potential risks to the safety and reliability of the system, and Vegetation Management to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity. The Quality Management team supports the Major Infrastructure Delivery organization to meet or exceed established operational targets, including compliance requirements, KPIs, budget, and risk reduction strategies that support the company's Purpose, Virtutes and Stands.
Position Summary
The Electric Compliance leaders oversee the creation and maintenance of electric compliance programs as well as the audit and quality activities for program monitoring and governance. May focus primarily on either Transmission or Distribution functions. Incumbents lead the creation, maintenance, and oversight of activities for both external regulatory compliance requirements and internal company requirements. The incumbents may oversee the data warehousing and analysis related to compliance and/or the audit activities for monitoring and governance. The incumbents ensure that work is done consistent with procedures and guidelines and that group objectives are met.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. South of San Jose preferred.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

Job Responsibilities
May perform quality assurance audits and process reviews and communicates the results for one or more of the following areas: Electric Operations, Gas Operations, or Energy Supply.
May track audit findings and the resultant corrective action plans by working with teams from the appropriate line of business to define corrective actions, to verify the completion of the corrective actions, and to validate the effectiveness of those corrective action.
May work with or provide information to various regulatory agencies, e.g., CPUC Electric Incident Reports; CPUC Inspections; CPUC audit reports; CAISO maintenance inspections; FERC audits or investigations, and NERC/WECC Reliability Standards Compliance
Provides quality consulting to internal clients by evaluating and reviewing processes to ensure reliability improvement is embedded into the processes, and to share best practices.
Coaches, develops and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and the individual's development objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
5 years of experience in auditing or quality assurance
2 years supervisory or project/team lead experience
Travel is 40% with occasional overnight stays.
Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in process engineering
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent
ASQ Certified Quality Manager or equivalent
Registered Professional Engineer
Certified Project Manager or equivalent
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to evaluate, analyze, explain, and present audit results to the audit client, audited organization, and senior management.
Proficient with Microsoft Visio and Project.
