Description

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to assist with critical year-end projects on a contractual basis for a client in the public sector. Strong GASB knowledge is a must. This role involves managing financial documentation, implementing new reporting standards, and preparing detailed analyses to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain detailed worksheets and journal entries for various organizational standards.

Implement new financial reporting standards, including risk disclosures, model improvements, and capital asset disclosures.

Conduct thorough financial analysis to support accurate forecasting and modeling.

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

Review and update financial reports to align with GASB and organizational requirements.

Manage capital asset documentation and ensure proper disclosure compliance.

Provide insights through financial modeling to improve decision-making processes.

Ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Requirements

Proven experience in month-end and year-end close processes.

Strong knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

Strong knowledge with GASB standards and capital asset management.

Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial reports.

Experience working with external auditors during annual audits.

Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Springbrook.

Ability to create and reconcile journal entries with precision.

Solid understanding of financial analysis and reporting frameworks.
