Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager - no direct reports. We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our client's team in the Corvallis, Oregon area. This role is ideal for someone experienced in companies with revenues between $10M-$20M and is eager to contribute to the company's success through strategic financial management and operational excellence. The Accounting Manager will work closely with ownership and will play a key role in driving financial reporting, developing actionable metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strategic financial dashboards and metrics to support decision-making across the organization.

Prepare and distribute detailed sales reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Conduct profit margin analyses for time and materials to optimize financial outcomes.

Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, billing, payroll, and other hands-on tasks.

Collaborate closely with the President to align financial strategies with company goals and foster a strong working relationship.

Ensure compliance with prevailing wage standards and government contract requirements.

Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to manage general ledger and maintain accurate financial records.

Lead ad hoc financial analysis projects to address specific business needs and support strategic initiatives.

Monitor and report on operational dashboards to ensure efficiency and transparency across departments.

Leverage industry knowledge, particularly in construction or similar sectors, to improve accounting practices and business operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with small to mid-sized businesses.

Proven strategic thinking capabilities and expertise in ad hoc reporting, metrics, and dashboard development, including:

Proactive communicator, comfortable with regular email outreach to drive sales growth and maintain employee engagement.

Demonstrated ability to act as an Accounting Manager committed to the company's best interests, with a history of building strong relationships with executive leadership, especially the President.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
