Job Summary
The School of Psychological Scienceis seeking a Clinic Director. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position.
This positions provides leadership, clinical supervision, and day-to-day management of multiple programs (e.g. summer therapy group program, 1:1 therapy program; assessment clinic); associate with the Psychology Training Clinic, a unit within the School of Psychological Science. This position develops, implements, and evaluates a program of clinical training for students enrolled in the Psychology Ph.D. Clinical Option. The position ensures students receive training necessary for program accreditation and for successful match with required, highly competitive clinical internships at the end of students' academic programs. Serves as part of the Core Clinical Faculty and Clinical Psychology leadership team, which determines strategic plans for clinical psychology training. Participates in developing School strategic plans and budgets . This position determines resource needs and priorities and make recommendations to School Director. They are responsible for managing staff, equipment and facilities in Psychology Training Clinic. Provides direct clinical supervision to student therapists. Provides clinical supervision of clinicians providing direct clinical supervision to student therapists. May provide direct clinical psychological services.

Key Responsibilities
100% Clinical Leadership
Provide leadership and vision for a new and growing doctoral psychology training clinic that integrates clinical science and prevention, intervention, and dissemination implementation of evidence-based practices.
Design, implement, monitor, and refine doctoral psychology training clinic operational systems (intake, scheduling, documentation, crisis response, risk management) to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming experience for clients
Set short- and long-term objectives for the training clinic aligned with a clinic science training model, institutional goals, deadlines, and resources
Identify and manage external community practicum sites to augment the in-house clinic training opportunities to meet accreditation and program clinical training requirements
Anticipate, plan, and adjust for operational needs as the clinic grows.
Exercise sound, defensible, independent judgment when making decisions involving clinical risk, unanticipated problems, or ambiguous situations where existing policies do not fully apply
Coordinate intake of clients (collating materials, reviewing documentation, assigning cases to student therapists after consulting with clinical practicum supervisors)
Evaluate and provide structured feedback for clinical practicum supervisors and trainees
Serve as the chair of the hiring committee for adjunct clinical practicum supervisors, document and manage performance
Translate legal, accreditation, ethical, and institutional requirements into workable policies, procedures, and plans to maintain compliance.
Develop and manage clinic budget and resource allocation in collaboration with School Director and Director of Clinical Training
Provide clinical supervision to graduate student therapists
Provide clear, accurate, timely communication with the Director of Clinical Training , School Director, Core Clinical and Graduate Faculty, students, clients, and partners that instills confidence and inspires strong engagement

Produce up-to-date, accurate, effective client- and public-facing print, web, and other media in collaboration with the College Marketing and Communications team
Training & Supervision Competencies
PhD or Psy.D. in clinical psychology/clinical science from an APA - or PSCAS -accredited program
Licensed or license-eligible psychologist in Oregon within six months.
2 years of post-doctoral experience in a counseling or clinical services setting
3 years of experience in management responsibilities in mental health administration.
Ability to meet requirement to be present on-site during typical business hours and respond to emergencies after hours as needed.
Ability to provide evidence-based practice and inclusive, equitable clinical services within a training environment.
Ability to support trainee and practicum supervisor development, uphold performance expectations, and participate in remediation processes when needed.
Ability to model and align clinic practices with a clinical science model
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months
What We Would Like You to Have
3 years' experience in one or more of the following:
integrating science and clinical practice in a university setting: and/or
managing doctoral clinical psychology training clinic operations, and/or
supervising adjunct faculty/clinical supervisors in delivering evidence-based therapy and/or assessments in a psychology training clinic
Knowledge of PCSAS and APA accreditation requirements and effective ways to align operations with accreditation standards
Experience coordinating a team of students, adjunct faculty/supervisors, and/or operational staff to provide consistently high-quality clinical science data collection and/or clinical training
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Typical office environment. Clinic hours may include evening/weekend hours to meet clients' needs
