Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the ADMINISTRATIVE/PERSONNEL SUPPORT DIVISION, ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND. Responsibilities You will provide technical and administrative support in all areas of personnel, records, separations, Personally Identified Information (PII), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) information, etc. You will utilize computer hardware and software systems to compose or @type a variety of naval and business letters, memoranda, directives, statistical and narrative reports, endorsements, messages and forms. You will verify arrival and departure of each staff member and submit required documents via Navy personnel systems. You will brief transferring personnel and family members on executing orders, requirements and entitlements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to interact with military and civilian personnel at all levels; 2) Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to generate documents, manage databases, spreadsheets, and calendars; 3) Applying knowledge of processing directives, correspondences, awards, and evaluations; 4) Handling sensitive materials in accordance with policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to @type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
