Job description
The Production Supervisor, Electrical oversees day-to-day operations of electrical assembly teams responsible for building, installing, testing, and troubleshooting aerospace electrical systems and components. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining strict compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The supervisor provides technical guidance, manages workflow, supports continuous improvement, and ensures the development and performance of team members.
Leadership & Team Management
-Lead, coach, and support a team of electrical mechanics in a production environment.
-Assign daily work tasks, set priorities, and ensure effective resource allocation across work centers.
-Conduct performance evaluations, address personnel issues, and support employee training, certification, and skills development.
Production Oversight
-Oversee the assembly, installation, routing, and termination of wiring harnesses, electrical panels, connectors, sensors, and avionics components into furniture.
-Ensure adherence to production schedules, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and coordinate with planning, engineering, and quality teams.
-Verify that assemblies meet engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans, and configuration requirements.
Technical Support
-Provide hands-on troubleshooting for electrical systems, including continuity checks, fault isolation, and functional testing.
-Interpret engineering documents such as schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
-Support integration activities for test equipment, power systems, avionics modules, or flight-critical electrical hardware.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
-Enforce compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, company-specific requirements.
-Ensure proper documentation of build records, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
-Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing HSE procedures, and correcting hazards proactively.
Continuous Improvement
-Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize material flow.
-Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and root-cause corrective action initiatives.

Experience Requirements:
-5+ years of experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or avionics integration in aerospace or a related high-reliability industry
-2+ years in a lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
-Strong understanding of electrical assembly techniques, crimping, soldering, harness fabrication, and electrical test procedures.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
-Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
-Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
-Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
-Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor and to meet job responsibilities
-Ability to distinguish between the color spectrum
