These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the instrumentation effort from design to de-modification through requirements development, design, lab test, integration, and test operations support
Plan, participate, and execute test plan development to ensure objective results are of sound quality
Responsible for developing, modifying, and implementing standard operating procedures for instrumentation hardware and system design
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, systems, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems.
Maintain, document, and control NIST standards for calibration and verification of measurement equipment.
Act as a technical liaison to the Engineering Manager
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Experience with extensive ground and flight test programs
Experience with 14 CFR Part 25 testing
Experience with Military Systems testing
Familiar with Ethernet, 1553, ARINC 429, and CAN bus protocol
Familiar with Curtiss Wright and/or similar data acquisition systems
Familiar with CATIA for electrical system drawings
