The Department of Corrections , State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Smithfield (https://www.pa.gov/agencies/cor/state-prisons/sci-smithfield) is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support at our facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical and office support to the Facilities Management department for the DSFM, Majors, and the Maintenance Manager and will ensure all reports are accurate and submitted timely. Additional duties include entering time and attendance, entering leave, taking meeting minutes, @type and distribute letters and memos, and assist with preparation for audits.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration ) ; or
Graduation from high school;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
