The Cloud & Server Infrastructure Intern will support the IT Infrastructure team by assisting with break/fix troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and user provisioning across our hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This role is designed for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of enterprise IT operations while contributing directly to day-to-day support activities.
This intern will report to the Sr. IT Manager of Cloud & Server Infrastructure and is based out of our Anoka, MN office or our Lewiston, ID office.
As the Cloud & Server Infrastructure Intern, you will:
Break/Fix & Ticket Support
Resolve incoming support tickets related to system access, application issues, and basic infrastructure problems.
Troubleshoot break/fix issues involving Windows systems, collaboration tools, and user applications.
Assist with diagnosing server or service interruptions under guidance from senior engineers.
Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build internal knowledge resources.
User Provisioning & Access Management
Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory, Azure AD, and other enterprise systems.
Assign and adjust permissions, group memberships, and application access based on established workflows.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely and accurate provisioning.
Help maintain identity and access management documentation and process guides.
Operational IT Support
Assist with routine patching, updates, and software deployments.
Monitor system alerts and escalate issues when necessary.
Support backup checks, VMware tasks, and basic storage environment maintenance.
Participate in small operational projects such as cleanup tasks, automation scripting, or configuration updates.
Learning & Collaboration
Shadow infrastructure engineers to learn about cloud services, server administration, and enterprise IT operations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance support efficiency.
You will have/be:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Interest in IT support, system administration, or cloud/infrastructure engineering.
Basic understanding of Windows systems, Active Directory, or networking concepts.
Exposure to scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is helpful but not required.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
High attention to detail and a process-oriented approach.
Curiosity and a desire to grow in enterprise IT.
Expect to gain:

Exposure to enterprise identity management, cloud platforms, and server environments.

A strong foundation for future roles in IT support, systems administration, or cloud engineering.
Additional Information:
Shift: Monday-Friday (8-9 hour) days
Start ASAP (Spring 2026) and continue through Summer 2026 with the possibility of extending
Open to part-time during the academic year, up to full-time during the summer; flexible to accommodate class schedules if needed.

Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $27.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
