Join Our Team at DCFS: Administrative Assistant 1-4
The incumbent of this position serves as a personal and confidential assistant to the Director of the Administrative, Training, and Safety Services (ATSS) section of the Division of Management and Finance and provides administrative and secretarial support to the Director, Managers and subordinate personnel.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of policies, and procedures and provides assistance to the Director.
Monitors and maintains the director's schedule.
Answers the section main telephone lines.
Tracks and monitors the status of projects to ensure completed timely.
Schedules meeting and interviews.
Prepares and processes travel authorizations.
Process purchase orders.
Reconciles reports.
Serves as section timekeeper.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Career Progression: This vacancy may be filled as an Administrative Assistant 1-4 depending on the selected applicant's experience.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
