Description Our client, a dynamic leader in their industry, is seeking a methodical and versatile Staff Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This role is responsible for supporting monthly close processes, overseeing fixed asset activities, and providing key analysis to guide management decisions. The Senior Accountant will also maintain lease portfolios, ensure the integrity of the general ledger, and act as a resource for related tax, audit, and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and record month-end journal entries and accruals, including payroll components. Generate and deliver in-depth financial analyses to inform leadership. Complete timely balance sheet account reconciliations and thorough variance reviews. Analyze complex financial and operational data to provide actionable insights. Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including depreciation calculations, CAPEX tracking, and monthly roll-forward schedules. Maintain lease records and perform related accounting in LeaseQuery, ensuring compliance with current ASC 842 regulations, including associated journal entries and reconciliations. Distribute preliminary monthly P& Ls to all property or business unit managers for review. Calculate and process Teamsters Pension and Union Dues monthly. Administer weekly settlement and payment processing for independent contractors. Prepare and file annual statements related to business property tax. Provide backup support to both the accounts payable and accounts receivable leads as needed. Assist with documentation requests and process walkthroughs for external audits. Develop and maintain clear accounting process documentation and internal control procedures. Perform additional accounting or finance duties as requested by management. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment. Demonstrated understanding of U.S. tax reporting and compliance is preferred. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and LeaseQuery is strongly desired. Strong analytical abilities with a track record of interpreting intricate financial data. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders across multiple locations. Proven ability to work autonomously and manage time-sensitive deliverables. Strong customer focus and detail oriented service orientation.
