As a Security Officer - Bank Access Control in Tempe, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and respond to alarms and access control alerts. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and use clear communication to support a positive customer experience. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Manage visitor processing including sign-in, issuing temporary badges, providing directions, and coordinating with internal contacts for approvals.

Monitor and respond to access control alarms, door forced and/or door held notifications, and other security-related system alerts in accordance with post orders.

Operate and monitor video surveillance and related systems to help identify unusual activity and support incident reporting.

Maintain logs and documentation for visitor activity, access issues, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related observations.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by procedures.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas and around the perimeter, noting and reporting hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions.

Support security-related screening and package or delivery controls as required for a financial services location, following site policy and privacy expectations.

Assist with key and/or credential control procedures including issuing, receiving, and documenting assigned items per site policy.

Provide escort support for authorized personnel, vendors, and guests to restricted areas when required by site procedures.

Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and local responders, providing timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
