Responsibilities
Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Design and develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes and following the software development life cycle. Design and develop applications that are scalable by using Java, create design specs and fix design problems and other defects. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and remain flexible to changing requirements. Identify appropriate risks and develop mitigation plans. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Expand and optimize software applications, infrastructure, APIs, and data workflows. Use Agile and DevOps methodologies, including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment. Use engineering best practices to ensure code quality and integrate test cases into the continuous integration systems.
Qualifications
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or four years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Experience must include four years of experience in each of the following:
Develop applications using Java object-oriented principles and perform
backend development, implementing business logic, data processing and
integration with databases.
Write JUnit tests for Java applications and develop comprehensive test
suites covering unit, integration, and regression testing scenarios.
Utilize SQL to retrieve, update, and delete data from relational databases
and manipulation tasks, including data aggregation, transformation, and
migration.
Utilize Jira to facilitate Scrum methodologies and backlog management,
sprint planning, and to track user stories and tasks within agile project
management.
Utilize source control systems GIT or SVN to manage code versions
including committing changes, branching, merging code, tracking project
history, coordinating development efforts, and ensuring code consistency.
Craft automation frameworks for Java applications, leveraging JUnit for
structured testing and integrate automation into JENKINS for CI/CD
pipelines.
Utilize Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA for Java development.
Required to work from Company Office (Irving, TX) certain days per week. Telecommuting allowed for balance of week.
