erve as a core functional leader within Global New Product Development (NPD/NPDI) project teams, supporting initiatives from early concept through product launch and production release.
Ensure manufacturing resources, priorities, and execution plans are aligned with Global Product Roadmaps and critical strategic business initiatives.
Lead cross-functional collaboration and communication, actively participating in project reviews and governance forums with:
Project Management
Design & Manufacturing Engineering
Marketing and Sales
Supply Chain and Materials Management
Executive and Senior Leadership
Ensure Design for X (DFx) principles-including Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Cost, Quality, and Supply Chain-are properly applied throughout the NPDI lifecycle.
Coordinate and manage manufacturing requirements for new products, ensuring production readiness from project initiation through full production release.
Plan, direct, and execute all phases of proto@type builds and pilot production runs, identifying and mitigating risks related to manufacturability, quality, supply, and cost.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Materials teams to create, validate, and release complete manufacturing documentation, including:
Bills of Material (BOMs)
Routings and work instructions
Manufacturing and assembly procedures
Communicate project requirements, milestones, risks, actions, and status to cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Track, manage, and publish NPI deliverables using standardized tools, systems, and databases, including:
Operations and launch plans
Manufacturing process flow diagrams
Production readiness and launch assessments
Cost analysis, including preliminary estimates and standard costing
Define and justify capital expenditure (CapEx) requirements for new product introductions, including equipment, tooling, automation, and test infrastructure.
Provide functional ownership for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development and validation, including:
Design for Test (DFT) reviews
PCBA In-Circuit Testing (ICT)
Functional Circuit Testing (FCT)
End-of-line and product functional testing strategies
Lead component qualification and readiness activities for new designs, including:
Tooling feasibility and readiness assessments
Parts quality and reliability evaluations
PQCS, PQCP, PPEP execution
Regulatory and compliance verification
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
10 + years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or operations environment, with demonstrated exposure to complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Proven project management experience, including planning, execution, prioritization, and delivering results in fast-paced or matrixed organizations.
Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, maintain documentation, and drive follow-through across teams.
Proficiency with PC-based business and productivity tools, including:
Word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
Project management and collaboration platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear customer-focused mindset, enabling effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience supporting or leading New Product Development / New Product Introduction (NPD/NPI) initiatives.
Hands-on experience with Advanced Manufacturing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement.
Exposure to Digital / Connected Factory initiatives, including manufacturing systems integration, data-driven operations, automation, or smart factory concepts.
Experience adopting and effectively using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, analysis, decision-making, or operational efficiency.
Requirments
Strong expertise in New Product Development (NPD/NPDI) processes, including stage-gate and PMP-based project execution from concept through production launch.
Demonstrated knowledge of busway development and manufacturing processes, or closely related electrical power distribution and infrastructure products, with the ability to translate design intent into manufacturable solutions.
Solid understanding of Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SC&M) architecture, including materials flow, supplier integration, manufacturing readiness, and end-to-end planning alignment.
Working knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, including Digital / Connected Factory ecosystems, automation solutions, and digital twin technologies to support scalability, quality, and efficiency.
Proven proficiency in project management, including scope definition, scheduling, risk mitigation, cross-functional coordination, and delivery within complex product development programs.
Functional knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, including assembly, inspection, and test considerations.
Strong understanding and application of Design for Manufacturing and Design for X (DFM/DFX) principles, including FMEA, Control Plans, and risk-mitigation methodologies.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Experience with parts and commodity management, including supplier strategy, component qualification, and lifecycle management.
Demonstrated understanding of Product Cost Management, including cost modeling, standard costing, and cost-reduction initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to support executive-level communication, analysis, and reporting.
Experience utilizing structured problem-solving and quality tools, such as FMEA, DOE, SPC, and related statistical and quality methodologies.
Knowledge and application of Six Sigma methodologies, with Green Belt certification and/or Black Belt training preferred.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and global, cross-cultural teams, demonstrating strong leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
