The (USA) Distinguished, Technical Program Manager leads complex, large-scale programs by defining goals, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving clarity amid ambiguity. The team leads Walmart's talent acquisition technology, supporting hiring for 2.4 million associates across all levels. They design and manage scalable software solutions that enable recruitment from front-line to executive roles. With expertise in project and stakeholder management, technical design, and process improvement, the team drives innovation and operational excellence. Collaborating cross-functionally, they deliver reliable, efficient, and secure systems aligned with business goals. Focused on continuous improvement, the team upholds accountability, technical excellence, and strategic impact within Walmart's global hiring ecosystem.
What you'll do:
Lead and coordinate large-scale technical programs, defining goals, critical paths, and key deliverables across multiple teams and dependencies.
Drive end-to-end system solution design, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business objectives.
Identify and resolve program risks, manage resources, and secure stakeholder commitments to maintain program momentum.
Implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accelerate delivery timelines.
Mentor team members on program management best practices, technical design, and effective communication strategies.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align priorities and resolve conflicts for successful program outcomes.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in program management techniques, tools, and frameworks to lead complex, large-scale technical programs.
Strong ability to define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and manage cross-functional dependencies effectively.
Experience in technical design, including system architecture, software, hardware, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
Skilled in stakeholder management, securing buy-in, and resolving conflicting priorities to drive alignment.
Proficient in process improvement, automation, and implementing scalable workflows to enhance team efficiency.
Excellent communication skills to influence decisions and present data-driven insights clearly.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
