Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.

Manage accounts receivable functions, including cash posting and reconciliation.

Handle billing operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes.

Utilize NetSuite software to manage accounting tasks efficiently.

Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare regular financial reports to support decision-making.

Assist in audits and ensure adherence to company policies.

Maintain organized documentation of all accounting activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in invoice processing and cash posting.

Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams.

Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
