GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for strengthening PLEXSYS's marketing capability in direct support of company growth objectives. Initially focused on product marketing and market positioning, this role is expected to mature into a strategic growth partner that supports pipeline development, capture positioning, and market credibility. This role owns the development, coordination, and dissemination of PLEXSYS marketing and communications content for internal and external audiences. The Senior Marketing Manager converts technical, programmatic, and leadership input into compelling, brand-aligned messaging across digital platforms, campaigns, events, and customer-facing materials.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy
Develop, maintain, and annually refresh a comprehensive, company-wide Marketing Strategy aligned with PLEXSYS goals and corporate growth objectives.
Translate company strategy, target markets, and priority pursuits into actionable marketing plans and initiatives.
Participate in growth and pipeline discussions to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business development and capture priorities.
Lead the development and execution of global PLEXSYS product, solution, and corporate branding strategies in collaboration with Business Development and Business Units.
Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry leaders, agencies, and vendors.
Design, deploy, and manage global and regional integrated marketing campaigns from ideation through execution. Key regions include: UK, middle east, and Asia Pacific
Coordinate internal contributors and external vendors to deliver campaigns on schedule and within budget.
Ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and brand representation across all marketing campaigns globally.
Digital Marketing
Gather, curate, and translate content from senior leadership, program teams, product managers, and subject matter experts.
Develop and maintain high-quality, brand-aligned content for internal and external audiences, including websites, blogs, customer collateral, case studies, white papers, press releases, and thought leadership materials.
Ensure marketing content reflects customer needs, mission challenges, and operational realities to strengthen market credibility.
Own and maintain PLEXSYS's digital presence, including website content, SEO, email marketing, and social media platforms.
Design, manage, and update digital marketing assets such as emails, landing pages, banner ads, and web content.
Analyze audience engagement and digital performance metrics to continuously improve reach, relevance, and effectiveness.
Ensure external communications remain current, accurate, and aligned with company strategy and brand standards.
Events
Plan, manage, and execute marketing support for domestic and international tradeshows, industry events, workshops, webinars, and customer engagements.
Lead the design and creation of printable marketing materials, and PLEXSYS branded merchandise.
Oversee event logistics, messaging, materials, and vendor coordination to ensure professional execution.
Ensure events and engagements support brand awareness, relationship-building, and pipeline development objectives.
Marketing Operations
Develop annual marketing budget inputs and manage execution against approved plans.
Identify, establish, and manage relationships with outsourced marketing vendors.
Coordinate work authorizations and contracts required to support marketing initiatives.
Establish and refine marketing processes, standards, and workflows as the function scales.
Define, track, and report marketing performance and return-on-investment (ROI) metrics.
Measure campaign effectiveness and apply insights to refine future marketing initiatives.
Provide leadership with visibility into marketing performance, effectiveness, and contribution to growth objectives.
Lead and manage a brand refresh.
Serve as a trusted marketing partner to Business Development, Business Units, and executive leadership.
Ensure marketing processes, tools, and support models are understood and effectively used across the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of company objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Professional Background
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
Advanced certifications or graduate education in marketing, communications, or business strategy preferred but not required.
International Defense & GovCon Marketing Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or integrated marketing roles within the international defense, aerospace, or government contracting environment.
Demonstrated understanding of defense industry customers, missions, acquisition environments, and competitive dynamics.
Experience supporting international business development, capture, or growth initiatives in a B2G and B2B @context.
Additional Marketing Experience
Proven experience identifying target defense audiences and developing messaging that engages, educates, and motivates across multiple channels.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical, programmatic, or operational concepts into clear, compelling, customer-focused marketing content.
Experience analyzing competitors and market positioning to inform messaging and campaign strategy.
Strong working knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tools, including websites, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
Hands-on experience managing and optimizing content across social platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and similar channels.
Experience planning and executing marketing support for tradeshows, industry events, customer engagements, webinars, and similar forums.
Ability to manage logistics, messaging, materials, and vendor coordination for events in a professional defense-industry setting.
Experience managing vendors, agencies, or outsourced marketing resources.
