In this role, you will take ownership of complex systems, influence technical direction , and help define best practices for the team. You will implement advanced software solutions , while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software for analytics.
We are looking for a proactive, experienced engineer with strong experience in Java, relational databases, Python, and modern web technologies (JavaScript and frameworks like React/Node.js is a plus) . You thrive in solving challenging problems, mentoring peers, and delivering solutions that have a direct impact on our business and customers.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and services.
Contribute to architecture and technical direction, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Implement and integrate security, encryption, and identity solutions, including SSO and secrets management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and promote best practices across the organization.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Required Technical Skills :
Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8;) , including multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM internals
Extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot , RESTful services, and microservices architecture
Deep understanding of object-oriented design , design patterns, and clean code principles
Expertise in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of complex Java applications
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL)
Security & Identity:
Experience implementing/understanding Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity integrations (OAuth2, SAML)
Strong understanding of SSL/TLS , certificate management, and secure communication protocols
Hands-on experience with encryption technologies , key management, and data protection
Experience with secrets management and vault solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, cloud-native vault services)
Databases & Data Stores:
Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
Solid understanding of non-relational data modeling trade-offs
Distributed Systems & Cloud:
Experience designing and operating scalable, distributed systems
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
DevOps & Quality:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines , build tools (Maven, Gradle), and version control (Git)
Strong focus on automated testing (JUnit, Mockito) and software quality
Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards
Leadership & Collaboration:
Ability to lead architecture and design discussions , perform code reviews, and influence technical direction
Proven experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Additional Requirements:
Working proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or backend services
Experience with JavaScript and related frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js) is a plus
Strong understanding of data persistence, consistency models, and transactional systems
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
