What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, and directing deliveries to the appropriate receiving areas in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
Perform vehicle and/or pedestrian checks as directed, including observing for prohibited items and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
Support key and badge control processes, including tracking temporary credentials and reporting lost or damaged access items.
Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
Assist with traffic control and/or staging during peak shipping and receiving periods, special events, and emergency situations as required by post orders.
Work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including areas with temperature changes, noise, and heavy equipment, while following site rules and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
