Work involves providing, to the public, agent, and field office staff, instruction, guidance, audit, examination, verification, transaction review, and fee and associated tax assessment and collection for proper processing and data entry of documents for the titling and registration of boats and outboard motors in accordance with the provisions of the Texas Water Safety Act and applicable sections of the Tax Code, Property Code, and Administrative Code. Providing instruction and guidance for correcting data entry and reconciliation mistakes or direct handling of voided transactions or refunds and the financial coding associated with the revenue. Responsible for issuing recreation hunting and fishing licenses and commercial fishing and wildlife licenses in accordance with rules and regulations set forth by the legislature and the TPWD Commission. Responsible for collection of payments for civil restitution, floating cabins and park reservations. Responsible for completing assigned tasks and assisting in other areas when peak workload builds to excess (March through September). Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Graduation from High School or GED. Experience:Two years of experience in accounting, budget, accounts payable, reimbursement/revenue, claims, auditing, bookkeeping, or customer service work processing or reviewing transactions, or other relevant financial operations experience. Licensure:Applicant must possess a valid State driverand#8217;s license. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONSExperience:Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, mathematics, management, marketing/research methodologies, public administration, business administration or other closely related business field may substitute for one year of the required experience, with a maximum substitution of two years. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelorand#8217;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, Communications or Public Relations.
