Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Holland, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, manage reporting processes, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy. This role is expected to be 5 to 6 months and hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee percentage-of-completion accounting methods for project tracking and financial compliance.

Establish and enforce departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency.

Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, working closely with department heads.

Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholder review.

Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to manage accounting tasks and streamline operations.

Monitor and report on financial performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements - Proven experience in financial management, including month-end close procedures.

Expertise in cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes.

Familiarity with percentage-of-completion accounting methods.

Strong knowledge of departmental SOP development and implementation.

Proficiency in preparing and managing annual budgets.

Advanced skills in QuickBooks Enterprise software.

Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
