SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions

is seeking a Tax Preparer for its client in Allen Park, MI. This person will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns and can work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role will also include scheduled face-to-face meetings with clients to review and prepare their returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare individual short-form tax returns (1040) accurately and efficiently.

Manage a high-volume workload of up to 1,000 returns during the tax season.

Conduct in-person client appointments to gather information, review documents, and complete tax filings.

Input, verify, and maintain tax-related data in the designated software system.

Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and company policies.

Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client tax liabilities.

Maintain confidentiality of all client information and documents.

Provide excellent customer service and clear explanations of return details to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in individual tax preparation is required.

Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload during peak season.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Proficiency with tax preparation software, including Thomson Reuters Tax Software.

Experience with similar tools such as Drake Tax, Lacerte Tax, or CCH Axcess Suite is a plus.

Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
