Industrial Assembler

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys building high-quality equipment from the ground up? We're looking for a skilled Industrial Assembler to join our team and help assemble and test filtration machinery in a well-established manufacturing environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and producing reliable equipment.

What You'll Do

Assemble test filtration machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications

Fit, align, and assemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and subassemblies into completed units

Make electrical and piping connections as required

Cut, fit, and install pipe and tubing

Drill and tap holes for fasteners

Secure components using bolts, screws, speed clips, and other fastening methods

Perform visual inspections to verify proper fit and surface quality

Conduct operational testing and make final adjustments to ensure units meet performance standards

Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and report discrepancies to supervision

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

Proficiency using hand and power tools

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

Experience with mechanical assembly and machine building

Working knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrical systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Welding and fabrication experience

Maintenance technician skills

Preventive maintenance experience

Work Schedule & Environment

1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM

30-minute lunch break

Occasional extended shifts up to 10 hours and up to 8 hours on Saturdays

You'll work in a historic facility with character and natural light. Temperatures may vary, but cold drinks and frozen treats are provided during summer months for comfort.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
