The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is hiring a 4th Shift (Fri-Sat-Sun 6am -6pm) CNC Setup Operator at our Van Wert, OH facility. This position involves setting up machines, measuring and validating programs, and operating machine tools to perform precise, repetitive machining tasks within strict tolerances. You will actively contribute to and help meet the strategic goals set by yourself, the facility, and Danfoss. The pay range for this role is $22.22 to $31.12 per hour, depending on experience and education. Multiple shifts are currently available. Candidates must have prior CNC or machining experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) according to production requirements.

Load raw materials into the machine and initiate the machining process.

Monitor the machine operations to detect malfunctions or errors.

Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.

Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions.

What We're Looking For

High School Degree / GED

Basic math skills (measurement conversion, addition/subtraction, decimals/fractions)

Gauging concepts and techniques (calipers, high gages, micrometers, profilometer, roundness gauges, plug gages, air gages, dial depth gages, etc.)

At least two (2) years' experience operating manual, NC, and/or CNC machine tools with experience in jobs setups requiring tooling and fixturing changes.
