Job Title: Data Scientist IIJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team in a remote capacity. The successful candidate will apply advanced analytics and AI methods on EHR phenotyping data from clinicogenomic sources, such as the UK Biobank (UKBB) and the Alliance for Genomic Discovery (AGD) datasets. This role involves driving discovery through large-scale biobank analyses and extracting actionable insights from rich biobank data resources.

Responsibilities

Extract patient cohorts from EHR data for Genome-wide Association Studies (GWAS) and related applications.

Apply advanced analytics and AI methods on clinicogenomic data.

Conduct data curation and mining using Linux command line.

Develop advanced programming scripts using R, Python, Spark, or SQL.

Learn and utilize existing automated EHR-phenotyping with large longitudinal UK Biobank and AGD data.

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team to advance Phenomics Data Science initiatives.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in data curation and mining using Linux command line.

Advanced analytics and programming skills, including R, Python, Spark, or SQL.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience with large-scale biobank analyses.

2-3 years of experience with a PhD or 5 years with an MSc in a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Biostatistics and Genetics.

Familiarity with the latest AI methodologies.

Work Environment

This is an individual role situated within a collaborative team environment. The position is remote, and the candidate will have the opportunity to advance state-of-the-art Phenomics Data Science initiatives using large-scale real-world data. Ideal candidates include experienced data scientists and data engineers interested in driving new mathematical solutions and innovation aligned with business strategy and rapidly changing data landscapes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $43.00/hr.
