Job Title: Electrical Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Service Technician to maintain and upgrade commercial door systems and equipment. This role involves 90% maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading existing systems, with the remaining 10% focused on new installations.

Responsibilities

Perform wiring and troubleshooting of electronic door hardware, including automatic locks, lighting systems, and sensors.

Modify, upgrade, and install various door systems and hardware.

Provide customer service to a diverse client base, including schools, hospitals, retail stores, and restaurants.

Essential Skills

Proven troubleshooting skills in electrical and field service.

Experience with blueprint reading and low voltage systems.

Strong maintenance and installation skills.

Effective customer service abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems is preferred.

Low voltage experience is preferred.

A 2-year degree in maintenance or automation is a nice-to-have.

Experience in installing hardware, electronics, and control systems is a nice-to-have.

Welding experience is a nice-to-have.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a typical workweek ranging from 40 to 45 hours. We are a family-owned business with a tight-knit group where the owner knows everyone personally, creating a supportive and collaborative field service work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Falcon Heights, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
