CAD Programmer - Winston-Salem Manufacturing

Shift: 2nd

Summary:

The CAD Programmer position is responsible for programming/prepping the Die and Stripper files for the Laser or Gerber machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for making sure designs meet manufacturing requirements before layout is created.

Set up make-ready files.

Program cutting die files for laser.

Create layouts.

Send Die Strikes to Designers.

Assist in Die Shop when needed.

Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.

Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Overtime is required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED minimum.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.

Other Qualifications

Must have prior computer experience and at least 1-year die cut experience.
