Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are urgently seeking Engineers of all levels of experience who are passionate about Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and have a strong work ethic to join a dynamic team of professionals. You will contribute to MEP and Fire Protection design projects within various industries, including schools, healthcare, business, and retail.

Responsibilities

Design Mechanical MEP systems for regional projects in schools, healthcare, business, and retail industries.

Utilize AutoCAD and collaborate with CAD operators to ensure precision in designs and timely completion.

Manage projects and work with other engineers or designers on small and medium-sized projects.

Perform engineering designs on large and/or complex projects under the direction of a principal, including interfacing with other personnel.

Understand and apply NEC (National Electrical Code) and building codes, standards, and building structures.

Perform design functions as a team member on medium and large projects under the direct supervision of a PM/Principal.

Handle permits, proposals, RFI's, electrical load calculations, size wiring, construction documents, and engineering reports.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Experience in MEP design projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

EIT or P.E. certification (not required).

Experience with commercial and large-scale projects (e.g., schools, hospitals, VA facilities).

Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Familiarity with commercial building systems and designs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
