Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (POLICY & PLANNING) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION of PRIORITY MATERIAL OFFICE. Responsibilities You will be responsible for keeping department personnel goals and performance in alignment with the organization's goals and the mission of the command. You will plan, direct, and administer the work of the department through analysis of workload, determination of priorities, assignment of tasks and provide redirection as required You will establish work and training plans, recruitment and retention initiatives and be responsible for conflict resolution concerning personnel and resources. You will develop and maintain long and short range strategic plans for current and future business environments. You will initiate and lead analytical projects and implement steps to reduce process complexity and improve speed and quality of work. You will be responsible for IT acquisition management, systems analysis and configuration management and control of the Command's IT resources. You will apply expert knowledge of the entire IT field with emphasis on application software development and data management or analysis. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: developing and implementing IT acquisition management, system analysis and configuration management to correct existing or anticipated discrepancies or problems. Additionally, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing recommendations for the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs in order to ensure compliance with DoN, DoW, and Information Security policy and regulations; coordinating policy management for the Priority Requisition Information management Enterprise (PRIME) program; and interpreting information security/assurance policies, principles, and practices in order to provide guidance to customers.
