Summary You will serve as a BUSINESS ANALYST in the Business and Planning Office (Code 1220) of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will create and improve data flows to support complex analyses and prepare reports and formal documentation. You will perform end-to-end data analysis by querying, cleaning, and processing data from multiple sources. This will involve using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and other analytical software to identify insights for process improvement. You will use business intelligence and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI) to design, develop, and optimize analytical tools and dashboards that enable shipyard management to make data-driven decisions. You will analyze complex data problems for multiple departments to find simple, understandable solutions and communicate conclusions to a wide range of audiences. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting data analysis in support of ship maintenance; translating technical findings into clear data products for management decision-making; collecting and interpreting data from shipyard sources like AIM, PMC, SPF, COST, SUPDESK, or other similar sources; using scripting languages like SQL, VBA, PowerShell, Qlik Script, Python, or other similar languages; using business intelligence tools like Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or other similar tools to produce reports and dashboards; identifying trends and gaining insights to improve operations and strategic planning.
