Piping Engineer (100% Remote)

About the Role

Join a team that powers the future of energy! We're seeking a Piping Engineer to design and analyze piping systems for nuclear power plant projects. Key Responsibilities

Design and review calculations for piping systems in compliance with industry standards.

Perform code qualification calculations using ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III for Class 1, 2, and 3 stress qualifications.

Utilize advanced tools such as ME101 and AutoPIPE for piping analysis; experience with ANSYS or other FEA software is a plus.

Develop detailed calculations and drawings for pipe hangers, snubbers, spring cans, and linear supports.

Create specifications for piping, valves, and components.

Conduct nozzle stress qualifications and assist with component or vessel design.

Prepare thorough documentation and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Support field engineering and construction activities, including site walkdowns.

Participate in the nuclear design change process (Standard Design Process).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil-Structural or Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of progressive engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or government projects.

Hands-on experience in piping analysis, including thermal, dynamic, vibration, seismic response spectrum, and time history.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Consulting engineering or utility experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $95.00/hr.
