Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department (600) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations; and implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with basic budget submission processes. Experience applying budgeting principals and analyzing fiscal reporting documents. Experience reviewing and performing audits on funding to ensure compliance. To qualify for the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the basics of planning, programming, budgeting and execution. Experience with purpose, time, and amount/appropriation law.
