Responsibilities
This position serves as the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Action Officer for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Operations, Plans, Policy, and Resources Directorate (J3/5/8). The Action Officer works collaboratively in a high tempo environment with of a team of professionals who execute the routine business operations for the J3/5/8 Front Office. The Action Officer proactively anticipates and acts in support of the Director, Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff; and improves overall Front Office and Directorate efficiency. The Action Officer also serves as a liaison between the Front Office and the Departments and DTRA Directorates.
Coordinates support to the front office team of Executive Assistants, Action Officers, Task Managers, Technical Writers, and other A&AS support functions
Possesses the ability to cover down on any of the front office team members responsibilities as needed in their absence or when workload is heavy
Supports senior leader travel preparation, development of trip books, event planning, all-hands events, and In-Progress Reviews (IPRs)
Confidently assesses and actions incoming requests within the front office team
Drafts, proof-reads, edits, and provides final review of internal and external products
Coordinates appropriate deliverable review for accuracy and clarity prior to senior leadership review
Develops and delivers briefs to senior leaders
Serves as alternate task manager and supports the development and routing of tasks as needed
Assists with routing of internal or external deliverables until it reaches final destination
Anticipates the needs and requests of the Front Office leadership, whether it be scheduling a meeting, drafting an Information Paper, or developing a draft SoP.
Provide routine administrative support to include appointment scheduling, calendar management, note-taking, and attending Director-level meetings to capture and track completion of action items
Provides strategic support the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff including but not limited to addressing Directorate mission and goals, as well as DTRA and DoD mission and goals as it relates to the J3/5/8 mission
Readily supports administrative and logistical support of conference room reservations and set up (i.e. desks and chairs, Webcast, dial-in)
Actively takes notes and captures due-outs and action items in all meetings
Contributes and engages in meetings to provide suggestions, solutions, assistance, advice, etc.
Manages incoming actions to the Front Office and assists with their tasking, tracking, action, and eventual closure
Ensures critical information is disseminated to internal and external stakeholders
Monitors progress on action items/tasks, generates metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines, prepares monthly reports on action item/task status, and keeps leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions
Actively participates in regularly scheduled Front Office coordination meetings
Ensures frequent file management of relevant SharePoint and J: Drive pages and libraries, and share locations with team members;
Takes the initiative to provide solutions or tools possibly not yet considered to an issue/action item/task within the Front Office or Directorate (Thinking outside the box)
Offers solutions and develops and implements process improvements
Provides surge support to the CT Front Office on high priority action items and deliverables
Other duties as specified by the customer
Required Qualifications
Junior Level:
Bachelor's Degree
Three years of professional experience in related work (or a Master's and 1 year experience)
Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer office in a high tempo environment
Experience in DoD programs or operations
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Strong attention to detail
Active Secret Clearance and ability to gain TS/SCI
Salary Range: $78,900 - $123,300
Mid Level
Bachelor's Degree
Five years of professional experience in a related field (or a Master's and 3 years' experience)
Experience in DoD programs or operations
Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer office in a high tempo environment
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Strong attention to detail
Exemplary writing and editing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent Organizational skills; ability to plan, track and maintain due dates for multiple taskers and products central to program business processes
Active Secret Clearance and ability to gain TS/SCI
Salary Range: $95,500 - $149,200
Senior Level
Master's degree
Seven+ years experience in related work
Significant experience in DoD programs or operations.
Experience with DoD or DTRA policies, procedures, regulations, organizational structure, and operating principles
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Strong attention to detail
Exemplary writing and editing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle a large number of actions and inquiries in response to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results
Strong networking, interpersonal, customer service skills, team building and problem solving skills with an ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment

Salary Range - $132,900 - 207,750
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with the interagency and international partners
Experience in the CTR Program, DTRA, or similar CWMD related work
Familiarity with the DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management
Basic user proficiency with customer action tracking tool

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
