Position Summary

As a Data Scientist, you will leverage advanced machine learning theory and hands-on expertise in Python and SQL to deliver impactful data-driven solutions. You will design, develop, and deploy deep learning models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business value.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning and deep neural network models for a variety of business use cases.

Apply strong theoretical knowledge of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and data science best practices to solve complex problems.

Write efficient, production-quality Python code for data processing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.

Design and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from large-scale databases.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production systems.

Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Stay current with the latest research and advancements in machine learning and deep learning.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Utilize GitHub workflows for version control, code review, CI/CD, and collaboration, ensuring best practices in code quality and project management.

Required Qualifications

1+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.

Strong theoretical foundation in machine learning, including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and statistical inference.

Hands-on expertise in Python for data science and machine learning (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.

Experience building, training, and deploying deep neural networks (CNNs, RNNs, transformers, etc.).

Demonstrated expertise in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a focus on using GitHub workflows for version control, branching strategies, code review, and CI/CD automation.

Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., GCP Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker).

Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.

Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's or PhD preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$86,520.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
