Equitable is looking for a forward-thinking Access Control Security Systems Administrator to take the lead in safeguarding our people, facilities, and critical assets across every campus location. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the center of our security ecosystem-managing cutting-edge access control platforms, optimizing system performance, and ensuring every badge swipe, door controller, reader, and integrated security tool operates with precision.

What You'll Be Doing
Administer and maintain electronic access control systems (e.g., Lenel, Honeywell, or similar platforms).
Configure user access permissions and manage credentials in compliance with security policies.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Coordinate with IT and Facilities teams for system integrations and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and incidents.
Provide technical support and training to end-users and security personnel.
Respond to security incidents and assist in investigations as needed.
Hybrid - This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with an on-site presence of 2-3 days per week combining flexibility with team collaboration.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security Systems, or related field with 2 years of experience with electronic access control systems administration OR 8 years electronic access control systems experience.
Familiarity with IP-based security systems and networking fundamentals.
Established troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Experience supporting multi-site, geographically distributed organizations.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE devices).
Experience with visitor management systems.
Experience with CCTV/Video Management Systems.
Security & Risk Mindset - Ensures systems protect people, assets, and data.
Technical Aptitude - Ability to manage complex hardware/software environments.
Attention to Detail - Critical for audit accuracy and access governance.
Accountability - Owns problems, drives resolution, ensures continuity.
Collaboration - Works cross-functionally with Facilities, IT, HR, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Lenel, Honeywell, or similar enterprise-level access control platforms.
Knowledge of video surveillance systems and alarm monitoring.
Certifications such as Lenel Certified Professional or equivalent.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles related to physical security systems.
Additional Notes
May require occasional travel to other company sites.
On-call availability for critical security incidents.
Skills
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization.
Network Engineering: Knowledge of the processes, tools and technologies for network engineering; ability to utilize and manage these for planning, designing, construction and support of wireline and wireless networks.
Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.
